Go back to drogan after hitting level 30 to search for a new leaf staff with hydra or different +items. Leaf will carry you to act 4 easily with all that fire goodness.
You could even wait to act 2 drogan to find a really good staff and go nuts with it just refreshing it until you picked up some good +abilities you wanted. Farm countess early for Leaf and Stealth rune word with a +2-3 in Fireball or other skills you want. Honestly, if you are a "new player" to the game and not sure what to start out with for SC.
